Hey everyone,
Here is the tutorial in .PDF format I promised. So let's get started, shall we.

Making video to tell people about yourself is one of the most fun and exciting ways I know of. It allows you to show you and your true personality. It ads a personal touch to any story that your telling or any product or service your promoting. It is a great way to also do "My Story Marketing". So let me show you how to do this for

FREE!!!

Step One: OK, we are going to need some FREE software to work with. Photo Story 3 from Microsft is a great tool for anyone or any Internet marketer. To get this program just go to http://www.download.com and type "Photo Story 3" in the search bar and click enter like I have showed you on the video I made. Download the software and install it onto your computer. Restart your system because it is recommended to do this after any installation.

Step Two: Now we will need some photos to place into our video. I recommend going to http://www.veer.com - They have a big selection and you can search for the pictures just by typing the keyword in the search box and clicking enter. It is 100% FREE to sign up there and you can download the "COMP" (Where it says "Download Comp" like i explained in my video) version of the picture to use in your video. So these first two steps tell you where to get FREE software and FREE pictures to create your story.

Now lets get started on making that video

After installing the Software and Downloading your pictures, open up Photo Story 3 and you should see a window that looks like this:

Step One:

Highlight the button that says "Begin a new story and click "next"
Step Two: This is where your going to import you pictures you have either downloaded or took your self and bring them into You Story soon to be told. Be sure to put them in the order your story will flow and you should also write a short script for your story as well. This is also the place you will be cropping the pictures of any black borders with the tool they provide you in Photo Story 3. You will see a picture like this:

Click on "Import Pictures", select your pictures and click OK. You can also color correct, red-eye eliminate or rotate your pictures using the tools underneath each photo. Right below where it says Import Pictures you will see the tool to crop your photos. Go ahead and click on this and you will see the window that looks like this:

The picture on the left is the "Original" and the one on the right is the "Cropped" Picture. This works with most photos but there is the case where some photos are "Odd Balls" and it won't work completely. Go through each of your photos and get them ready and when your done, click "Next to move on to the next step.
Step Three: This is where you can add text to overlay on each picture as well as add some effects to your pictures. You should be looking at a window similar to this:

Where is says <Type Text to add...> is where you can Title each photo with some capture text. To the left you can add some effects to each picture if you so choose. When you are done, click "next" to move on the the next step.
Step Four: This is where you add your "Voice Over Audio" to tell your story. You should see a window like this:

I hope you have you script ready or maybe you have it memorized like I sometimes do. You will add text to the area you see my text in order to "Record" your voice for each picture within your story. You will "Click" the record button to start, record your voice and then "click" stop when your done. You can click "Preview" to see how it came out and if you wish to re-record just "click" the button with the curled arrow, and it will erase the old recording and you can start new. This is also where you can create "Custom Motion" for each photo to add some "FLARE" to your story. Click "Customize Motion" below each picture to do this. You should see a window like this:

To customize, just "click" the box labeled "Specify start..." and it will allow you to modify where the motion begins and ends. Below you can set the duration (Time) it will take to complete this motion as well. Next in the tab above the photo labeled "Transition", you can customize the transition that will happen between each photo as they show up in your story. When "clicking" on this tab you should see a window like this:

You will be able to choose from a variety of different Transitions in this window. When you are done, "click" close and then next to proceed to the next step.
Step Five: Now we are going to show you how to create a low playing music in the background. You can import your own music or use the music provided with the Photo Story 3 software, which by the way gives you lots of choices to choose from. You should see a window like this:

You can add a piece of music to each picture or a music selection to span across your entire story. I recommend the latter. I will show you how to use the music provided with the software as it is instrumental, you have a lot of genres to chose from and it is easier in my opinion. To do this, "click" on the first picture in your story and then just "click" on create music... button. Another window pops up like this one:

And here you will make your musical choice. You can preview the music before selection as well. I recommend "LOW Intensity" for better quality and background music. Next "click" ok and it will take you back to this window:

I recommend for background music placing the volume where I have it set (About a quarter way between the first and second bar). You can preview the whole story here by "clicking" Preview and when your done, click "next" to continue on to the next step.
Step Six: What do you want to do with your story? This is where you chose how you want to save your story, where you want to save your story, saving your project and the settings for this video. They are self explanatory and you should see a window that looks like this now:

Choose how you want to save your video up top. Click "Browse" to select where you will save your video on your computer. Click "Settings" to select the settings for your video output. Click "Save Project" to save your project. Default is a .wmv file. Click "Next to save your "Video". Your DONE!

If you are thinking of setting up a make money blog that reviews ways to make money online or lists methods of making money blogging, don’t - especially if you are relatively new to making money online.

Don’t get me wrong. It is not impossible to make money with a blog - just very much harder to do so in the money niche.

Why is that so?
Firstly there is just too much competition. Unless you are a prolific writer who can research stellar articles other bloggers in your niche cannot match up to, it will be nearly impossible to get a slice of the money pie.
Secondly, readers of make money blogs are internet savvy people who are blind to ads and won’t click on your affiliat link unless you are a top blogger with thousands of regular readers.

Most importantly, getting to the front of search engine results page will be an uphill climb. When your article appears on the first page of SERPs, it means an explosion of traffic as more people are exposed to your article. As a result, your blog becomes more well known.

There are over 50 million pages on making money online. What are your chances of overtaking these millions of pages, many of which are highly popular sites with tens of thousands of daily readers?
But that’s not to say you can’t make money blogging. Just choose a less competitive niche. If you take a look at the top money making niches, you can see there are many other possibilities you can tap into.

many searches a month there are for related keywords.

Then do a search in Google and see if there are any ads on the side of the search results. If there are many advertisers, then there must be a market.

Sometimes, the most mundane topic can be the top money earner. Guess what are some of the top paying keywords? They are loan consolidation, insurance quotes and structured settlement.

Hardly exciting topics to write about. In any case, these will be too competitive unless you manage to discover a sub niche of these profitable topics.

The ideal scenario would be to find a niche topic that you are passionate about so that writing won’t become a chore. However, you will find that it may
not be possible.

So ultimately, you have to decide what you want from your blog. Is it merely an online journal to document a hobby or do you want to make money with it?

Got a blog? Great. Then you know that blogging involves writing, and the more writing you do, the more money you will make blogging. Let’s look at five tips to help you to become an expert blogger.

1. The more you write, the more you earn.
As a blogger, your primary task is content creation. This is because without content, you won’t have traffic, and without traffic, you won’t have an income. So content comes first.

However, there are many ways you can create content.
My favorite way is to speak, rather than write. I use a speech recognition program on both my Mac and my PC, to help me to create content more quickly.

Although you’ll need to train yourself to dictate your thoughts, the time you spend with the program in the first few weeks is amply repaid, because you’ve got more content on your blog or blogs, and thus more traffic.

2. Plan your blog posts each week and month.
Planning your blogging is vital. I teach bloggers, and the first habit I encourage them to acquire is the habit of planning everything they do. Planning your content is vital, because some days you just don’t feel like writing.

On these days, your plan gets you blogging, because you know exactly what you’re writing about on any given day.
One of my favorite tactics is to create series. Once you’ve planned a series of posts on a particular topic, writing the series is easy.

A series can be anywhere from three to ten posts long. Here’s an idea: create a “30 days” series - this gives you 30 blog posts to plan in advance.
Once you’ve done the planning, you’ll be amazed at how quickly you can write the series.

3. Create a network of blogs - One blog, or a network of blogs on the same topic?
Initially, focus on one blog, at least for the first year. Your first, primary blog will build traffic via the search engines, and this foundation of traffic is a real blessing - once you have hundreds of readers each day, you can USE that traffic.
After your first year, I advise that you hive off some of your blog’s categories to make new blogs.

This is because an enormous blog becomes unwieldy. Posts get buried, and it’s hard to give previous posts the attention they deserve.

4. Where’s the money? Set income goals for your blog.
You must set income goals for your blog. Start small: a dollar a day. Then increase your income goals by ten times as soon as you reach a goal. So your first goal is a dollar a day, then ten dollars a day, then $100 a day, then $1000 a day, and so on.

5. Boost your traffic: the more readers, the higher your blog’s income.
Finally, as important as writing and content creation in general is, nothing beats marketing your blog. To get more traffic, you need to market your blog.
So do it, every day - it’s not optional, you MUST market your blog.
So, there you have five tips to help you to make money blogging - use them and prosper.

Driving an audience to your site is as important as providing great content and products or services on your site. These two things go hand in hand, good content, good products and service = success. And lets not forget Great Customer service. But today we are talking about Articles and Opt-In List.

But one thing you will always need is Opt-In Marketing as your “Key” tool. An Opt-In list basically is a “Name & Email” list you gather from your consumers or readers thus allowing you to introduce New Products, Special Savings, Questions and Answers and so on. This strategy of Opt-Marketing can virtually cost you nothing but a little bit of time, and not much of that either. As you should know, building this list is extremely important to the success of your business.

So your Subscriber List or Opt-In List is used to email information about what is going on, coming up or just a message to help them. The emails will contain essential for you to present your promotional items in a manner that will “Capture the Attention” of your subscribers to keep them wanting for more. Writing a Article. How about Getting people to read it?

I know, writing a article is one thing. Getting people to read it is a whole other ball game. Seems like a lot of work for nothing to some and to some people, reading articles is kind of boring. Articles are for reading that’s why we write them and getting them read is the task at hand.So we write are articles for whatever reason you may have, sales pitch, branding yourself, there are many reasons. Writing a good article isn‘t that hard, where getting people to read it is a little more difficult. There are rules, guidelines so to speak to write good articles, with great content and attractive looking to the reader.

Here I will discuss 6 ways to improve the reading of your articles and guidelines that I have learned over the years for the best way to get them read and published on other peoples website’s in a lot of cases.

Rules and guidelines I use:

1) Short but detailed paragraphs. When paragraphs get to long, the reader can become bored fast and the words even become scrambled in their mind. Articles that become confusing may seem like a lot of work to the reader to read. So the reader will begin to skip paragraphs (Which may contain important information to your article or sales pitch) and they may leave the article all together before they finish reading it.

2) Use Numbers or Bullets. With bullets or numbers your letting the readers know that this is important or necessary information and they know to pay close attention to it. It also makes your article look more professional and you can explain these important facts in short sentences rather than a long paragraph. It also is easier for your reader to go back to the important facts without having to read through a lot of paragraphs.

3) Sub Headings or Titles for points or subject change of your article. Breaking apart each point or subject within your article makes it easier for your readers to follow. It makes it easier for them to highlight certain areas of interest thus never loosing your readers attention, and they may read over your article several times and use these parts to help or teach others.

4) A Good and Interesting Header. The clitche “Never judge a book by it‘s cover“ is true, but it does help to bring people to open the book to read more. A good strong Title can entice your reader to look more into your article. People are attracted by interesting titles bringing them to read at least the first paragraph of your article, which in fact is my next tip.

But titles are very important do make sure it would draw you to read into the article a couple of paragraphs as well.

5)Your First paragraph and it’s importance. Now that your title has got them to read your article, it’s time to bring them in more. This is where your first Paragraph is important. If your reader becomes bored or confused within this first paragraph, all your hard work is lost. Use captivating content within this first paragraph, usually when a reader reads beyond the first paragraph, they will continue on through to find out what is next.

6) Keeping them Interested or Excited all the way through. There are many ways to do this. Well Written Content is the first. Try not to stray away from the focus of the main subject or title of the article. Your reader is reading because they were interested in the title and first paragraph of your article. So flowing “Off Subject” can lose your reader. It is ok (In some cases) to flow “Off Subject” for a second here and there as long as you return to the main subject quickly and explain why you did go “Off Subject”.

Graphics, Pictures and/or Graphs. Using these mediums to explain or present a visual for your readers can keep them reading all the way through as well. Good Graphics, Pictures and Graphs allow the reader to see what your talking about without having to do to much writing or explaining thus boring your reader again.

It also breaks up the reading of a article (Which can be boring) and allows the reader to relax from reading for a brief moment.

7) Bolding certain keywords and Typos. Highlighting or Bolding certain keywords also makes it easy for readers to find important “Key Elements” of your article. If you help your readers they will feel more inclined to return to read more of your articles in the future. Also, making sure there are no typos in your article gains the respect of your reader, so be sure to proof read your article before submission and spell check often and at the end as well.

1. Keep your site updated always. Everybody likes fresh content especially search engines. Stagnant sites can be dropped by search engines as well as readers. Keep your readers with the thoughts of “What’s coming Tomorrow” and keep the search engines “Spiders” always crawling.

2. Fill your site with more value. Affiliate marketers and Partners can place links to other sites or each other to provide choices to their readers. You can advertise their books or videos, if these products relate to your site and don’t provide much or any competition with your own products.

3. You can have your readers/consumers opt-in for special discounts or savings. Place a ad or link for them to leave their name and email to receive special pricing on certain products.

4. Add a link to your primary page with a script ‘Book Mark or Add this site to your Favorites’.

5. Add a link ‘Recommend this site to a Friend’ so that the visitor can email your website link, with a prewritten title, “Thought you might be interested in this”, just by clicking on it. Also ad links for your readers/consumers to be able to Social Bookmark your site. With so many “Social Book marking” site now, it’s really worth it to sign up with them and generate multiple streams of traffic.

6. Brand your website so that visitors always know they are on your site. Use consistent colors, logos and slogans and always provide a ‘Contact Us’ link on each page.

7. Place RSS feed on your site. Make sure people can subscribe to your site so they get feed back whenever you update your site. RSS feed is a awesome way to get that repeat traffic.

8. Leave a link so people can email you with questions or comments. And when they do, make sure you respond to them as soon as possible. Here is where you can add a special offer when appropriate. Make sure you answer their questions as clearly as possible and be as helpful as you can.

8. Make sure that every page on your website has appropriate titles and keywords so that your customer can find their way back to your site if they lose the book mark.

9. Never and I MEAN NEVER spam a client, who has opted for newsletters or updates from your site, especially with unsolicited emails. Later if they decide they want to ‘opt out’ of the mailings, be sure you honor their request and take them off the mailing list. They may still come back if they like your products. But they will certainly not come back if you continue to flood their email box with mails they no longer wish to receive.

10. Always be respectful and courteous to your readers. Show your personality at times and make sure you have “Giveaways” on your site at least once a month. So you want to make money on the net, but no money, experience or website, eh? No worries my friends. There are many ways to do this and we will explore them here.

Affiliate marketing provides anyone, experienced or not the opportunities to make money on the Internet. All you need to do is find a program suitable for you and sign up. Picking that Online merchant or retailer, to start promoting for is easy. There are so many programs to choose from and finding them is easy as well. Here is where Google is your best friend.

Affiliates make commission on the products they sell or promote. Search for “affiliate programs” + the “Subject” you like in Google, kind of like this: Affiliate Programs+Basketball. Simple, right. Now you know how to find them but why would you want to? A lot of programs promise big money with little effort, BS, it takes a lot of effort on your part, but many people are still hesitant to get into affiliate marketing. Why? Because they believe these get rich quick people and programs that fall short of their promise. Well with lots of experience, a well branded name or product and a lot of hard, continuous work, it is possible to make a very nice income on the net.

People say affiliate marketing without a website is impossible. Not true, there are so many ways to promote affiliate products it isn’t funny. Live promotions, Business cards, email list, forums, social bookmarking, social networks, and these are just a few. So lets get into them so you can have a better idea of what your going to do next:

1. Email Marketing
Email marketing, or maintaining email lists, is actually the best way and most popular affiliate marketing strategy that doesn’t require you to have a website. You can gather list through many genres Online, Social Networks, Forums and so on. You can then send these contacts emails about your affiliate program products. But not so direct. People find ad emails annoying. Send them a email talking about something your excited about and only put a text link to the merchandise. A lot more user friendly if you know what I mean.

2. Off line Promotion
Here we will get into many ways to promote. Watch this list as it grows on you…lol. Flyers. A good way to promote to your local people you know and within your neighborhood. Business Cards do good as well. Posters in local stores, ask if you can put up a poster in a local shop, they usually don’t mind. You ever seen those Ads on Paper taped to Poles, bulletin boards where you can rip one off and take it home and call the number (Ads for apartment rentals and such.) Theres another way. Even friends advertising for you on their site can work but may cost you a little…lol.

3. eBook Writing
If you know how to write and enjoy it. ebook writing is a great way to promote affiliate products. And you put them up on different sites that help you sell such items. And there are many. Just search for “Affiliate Programs” and you will see.

4. Writing Free Ezines Articles
Article writing is a quick, free and easy way to do this without a site. You write your article basically about the products, not mentioning any websites or links or names within the body. All your advertising is done at the bottom in a Resource box. Your allowed at most article sites to leave information to your programs, affiliate links and about yourself with9n this resource box. And there are lots of great sites for this.

5. Online Social Networks (Forums, Chats, Social Networks, etc.)
These are places you really need to be anyway. The potential is limitless here. But NO SPAMMING. These places require a more casual approach. You have to actually socialize here. Become friends with people and offer them help, not a quick sale. Ethics and respect are your best friend in social places.

So, with all these different ways to promote without a site. It seems more easy to get into affiliate marketing, right. Advertising is not easy but possible without a website. A little more work is involved, but you can accomplish your goals just as well. And when the money rolls in, get yourself a website.

Having a website is not necessary, it does help, but still not necessary. Most affiliate sites merchants already provide the site or landing page for you, all you have to do is get the people there.

Mainly I worked in the Textile Industry (T-Shirts) and because of a burst of NEW companies fighting to get the job, a lot of companies went out of business. Visual Marketing Strategies to Help You Rise Above the Crowd

You have a message to communicate to your prospective customer. Unfortunately, they’re so overwhelmed by advertisements and other promotional information that the chances of your message getting across are slim to none. Indeed, studies show that the average consumer in this country is bombarded with nearly 3500 commercial messages a day.

So what can you do to make sure your target market takes notice? What can you do to make sure your organization is presented in the best possible light?

Speak Directly to Your Customer

Use delivery channels that allow for one-to-one communication. For example, it’s more difficult to target a prospect or client through a mass media vehicle like television, versus direct electronic mail where your audience volunteers to hear from you. Untargeted, mass-marketing efforts are often disruptive to a prospect (think of the commercials you’re thrown to when you hear the familiar, “right after these messages” from television game show hosts).

Media that allows you to communicate more directly to your audience, like variable-data printing (VDP), allow for the customization of text and imagery in print and electronic media. For example, with variable-data and digital printing, it’s possible to retrieve an individual’s area of interest from a database so that the photography and text in a brochure is tailored specifically to their needs. Always consider media channels that allow you to speak to your audience on their terms.

Be Unique

Make sure your visual marketing is as distinct and individual as your organization. What’s the first thing that comes to mind when you see (or hear) a commercial for an automobile dealership? There seems to be an unwritten rule that they must all be loud and overbearing. You know which spots we’re talking about: 20 font styles with 20 different colors; flashing, flying and spinning video and graphics; and an extremely loud voiceover. Does the similarity of these commercials help one dealership stand out from the others?

The same holds true for visual communication efforts that use templates, clip art, or overused formats. You deserve a visual presence that is as unique as your organization. Don’t follow the crowd–rise above it!

Keep It Clean and Simple

Keep the visual design of your communication uncluttered and approachable. Whether it’s on your website, a company brochure, or a billboard, less is usually better. This is particularly true for communication that is introductory in nature. Until a prospective customer becomes interested enough to dig deeper and learn more, present your message in an easily digestible format–most people get overwhelmed when they are presented with too much information. A clean and simple design helps them more easily find what they’re after.

Be Consistent

Use a family of typefaces, colors, backgrounds and graphic elements for your communication pieces. Be consistent in your identity marks–make sure your logo is consistent in its presentation, including any associated type treatment. Make it easy on yourself–there’s no reason to reinvent the wheel for every new communication piece you develop.

Once your organization has established an appropriate visual identity, you want to be consistent in your branding efforts. Make it easy for your customers to recognize your organization in all of your visual messages.

If you follow these guidelines in your visual marketing, your messages will be targeted, clear, memorable, and separate you from the crowd.

Lesson 8 - There are 3 main ways to drive traffic to your blog.

RSS Directories

Today we will discuss the search engines.

First understand that the majority of your traffic will come from the long tail words.

Lets define long tail. It is keyword groupings of 2 or more words. For example - black leather executive chair would be a long tail search term. Now the person searching for that term is probably very targeted and if you are selling a black leather executive chair you probably have an interested buyer whereas the person searching for just chair is probably just doing research.

The key to getting highly ranked in the search engines on the long tail keywords is your title tag. That is probably 75% of your SEO on keywords with less than 2,000,000 results. This is one of the problems with both Blogger and WordPress.com because you can’t easily change the title tag from your blog’s name to use the post title or a custom title tag.

This alone will be a huge boon in your rankings and why we recommend using a self hosted WordPress blog over the other formats. Add the plugins recommended from previous lessons and you will have much better rankings in the search engines which will lead to more traffic for your blog.

Leson 9 - Building links to your blog can improve your search engine rankings tremendously.

First you need to understand why links are important and mistakes you don’t want to make.

The search engines look at incoming links from other sites as a vote for your site. The key is to make sure that te link is from a related site and not from what the search engines consider bad neighborhoods.

A bad neighborhood is a link farm that is just there for generating links. Most of the paid link sites fall into this category and more and more of them are being found every day as the algorithyms get better.

Now getting a link from a related site that is an authority in your niche. Getting a link from them is much better than a link from a totally unrelated site.

One of the best ways to get these types of links is by taking the time to comment on related blogs. The key though is always make sure that you are taking part in the conversation and not spamming with your comments. Always make sure that you are adding value to the post that you comment on.

The other great way of doing this is to comment about the topic on your blog and link to the original post that started the topic. This is a trackback and can be very powerful in generating traffic and links.

Ok everyone, time for some motivation. 10 questions to help you succeed in life. There are a lot of obstacles in life and learning how to overcome them is very important in order to succeed.

Self motivation and respect for oneself are very important. Without them life will drag on, success will never happen and life will become just routine, boring.

Still I aspire for something deeper and more meaningful.

Everyone in the world has problems, it’s how you deal with them that makes the difference in how your life will turn out. Rule of thumb: It is hard to succeed if you don’t have motivation or love and respect for oneself.
And in order to love someone else you must love yourself. It is the only way to completely be happy. So on to the questions you must ask yourself in order to succeed in life and everything you will do.

1. What do I want in life?
A question everyone should know the answer to. This question applies to everything in life necessary. Love, respect, promotions, business. As you can see, knowing what you want out of life can answer a lot of questions. First you know what you want, then you go and get it. Simple.

2. Are there any changes I need to make?
If your life isn’t going according to plan, what changes will you need to make in order for it to go a lot smother and more successful? Everyone needs to make changes, it is the ultimate rule to continually improve yourself and thrust you into the future of your dreams. If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.

If history has taught us anything it is one thing, change means progress. Unfortunately, some improvements have caused a lot of problems in the past but the changes one makes within themselves for improvement are what I am referring to. Self improvement is always a good thing.

3. What is your self worth?
How do you feel about yourself! Self respect is one of the main keys to success. Always know that your life is priceless, and if you put your mind to it you can do anything. Success is all in the mind, if you think it you can do it. Goals, goals goals. Try it you just might be surprised in yourself.

4. Where do you want to be in 5 years?
This is all about goals. Make a list of things you feel you need to accomplish to create your dreams of where you will be in the next five years and then do them one by one. A check list of dreams is great. Step by step, inch by inch, I guarantee if you make this list you will accomplish them. Of course there will be obstacles, if there weren’t, and everything you did was successful, then you would never learn the lesson of failure, which will make you strive even harder. Nothing in life is easy and nothing in life is free. But I promise, the harder you work for your success, the more you will appreciate what you have and have accomplished.

5. Where do you want to be in ten years?
After you have accomplished the 5 year plan, just repeat it for the next 5 and whala. All your dreams will fall in place.

6. Are you happy with your accomplishments?
The accomplishments you complete in life must be something that you, yourself was trying to accomplish. I am not talking about accomplishments you have completed for someone else, but for yourself! Helping others is great, I do it all the time. But you must continue to look out for yourself and your goals in life. Don’t let anything stand in your way.

7. Are you happy with yourself?
If you love yourself and have respect for your self. This question is not necessary. That is why I talk about love for oneself. It is necessary in life as much as money is, but money can’t buy you happiness, trust me. It is necessary to have money in order to survive in life as we know it today, but happiness is priceless. You can not put a piece on life and happiness. So love yourself, respect yourself and then toss this question in the trash where it belongs.

8. How much could I have?
The potential is literally limitless. You can have as much as you work hard for. What ever you can dream, you can have. It’s all up to you and how much work and effort you give into it.

9. What motivates me?
Make a list of things that make you want to get up and go. Things that drive you to do better, whether it’s family, friends, whatever it may be. Think about things also that inspire you whether it’s a author, actor or even your children, gather your inspirations together with the things that motivate you.

10. Who are you?
You are you. You matter. Everyone on this planet is here for a reason. That reason will be decided by you. People make bad choices all the time. It’s the ability to correct and learn from those choices that make you who you are. You are a great person, a successful person. You are whatever you want to be, always remember this.

So remember. Your life matters. And you can do whatever it is you want to. Dreams can come true with time, hard work, love, self respect, motivation and inspiration. Now go out there and do it. Good luck in all your endeavors and as always, Peace and GOD speed to you all.

Stumbling Toward More Conversions

StumbleUpon has been around a while, and if you’re like 5 million others, you understand what an addictive, stimulus-response type network it really is. But like with other social networks such as Digg, Twitter, or Facebook, many marketers are still at a loss for how to make the most of it.

Editor’s Note: After a decade of SEO and more direct ways of online marketing, spreading the word indirectly via social media to build links, traffic, and conversions is still a hazy concept many are reluctant to accept. Are you convinced this could work or are you still holding out? Let us know either way in the comments section.

There has to be value in it; eBay bought the thing for $75 million last year. One of the reasons was to extend its ad network—a good move considering StumbleUpon just hit 5 billion stumbles. There also is the quick and dirty* way to get exposure on the network, via the ad system.Maybe you’ve maxed out your ad budget already, though. Even if not, traditional ads don’t build the brand relationships a solid, active presence can. In the case of social media sites like StumbleUpon, that relationship costs time, not money. If approached correctly, they can generate sustainable, meaningful traffic.

Not Digg traffic, real traffic. While Digg traffic has been criticized for being more of a locust swarm swooping in to eat up your bandwidth and move on, fans of StumbleUpon have noticed not just a boost in better quality traffic, but some have reported a marked increase in conversions.

One thing the StumbleUpon experts have in common, though: They’re use of it is part of a long-term traffic-building strategy, not a hit-it-and-quit-it move.

A WebmasterWorld member broached the subject recently, wondering about what kind of value a link in StumbleUpon really held. The query centered on whether a link from StumbleUpon could be compared to one in a reputable directory.

The short answer is that it’s apples and oranges. StumbleUpon links are nofollow, so it can’t be gamed for link juice. A representative of MartiniBuster suggested the querent was “viewing the image from too close and see only green pixels.” Utilization of StumbleUpon is a big-picture thing.

Edward Lewis, who is SEO/SEM Project Director at SEOConsultants.com and goes by pageoneresults in the forum, agreed. “Stumbleupon has been in my top referrers for a couple of sites I have…. I wouldn’t even think about the link value from an SEO standpoint…. Top Stumblers create a snowball effect that is kind of neat to watch. Once a Stumbler gets ya, then all their freinds start and it becomes viral. I know, I’ve been Stumbled quite a few times, some of them years ago and they show up all the time as referrers, every day as a matter of fact.”

It’s not about the individual link on StumbleUpon, it’s about the exposure and about the chance that someone sees your submission and blogs about it, and someone else blogs about it, and so on. Then you get not just brand recognition but nice blasts of link juice as well.

The key then, in addition to submitted content worth passing along, is to become a top user at the network of choice, a position that takes time and participation to achieve. If you thought of it as a link-building strategy, though, and then thought of all the time you’ve already spent building links, this route may seem like a viable option.

Tamar Weinberg, who says she’s Dugg over 20,000 stories, says social media marketing requires a different mindset from SEO. “I submit stories because I am not only submitting stories: I am actively engaging in the community. I am commenting. I am studying what’s been successful and what hasn’t been. It’s a completely different mindset than I had when I started using these social networks — simply because I had not given the networks and the users within a chance.”

In other words, StumbleUpon or Digg are not places to dump pitches and glitter. They are places to build a brand. As a matter of fact, as soon as it’s apparent to the communities a marketer is abusing their trust by always ptiching, the marketer will be tossed out.

A blogger named Maki has put together a comprehensive guide to marketing on StumbleUpon. Maki warns not to expect loyal RSS subscribers or ad-clickers, but does cite other benefits like generating rapid exposure, establishing a reader base, gaining backlinks, diverse demographics, and long-term traffic.

Dharmesh Shah posts 28 tips for becoming a StumbleUpon superstar, which are summarized in 4 steps by the smart alecks at Valleywag.

What’s the result of all that time engaging the community? Well, I can’t testify to the efficacy of Invesp’s “Breaking the Digg Code” program, but Khalid there claims to have increased his conversions by 400%. That’s not an endorsement, but increasing conversions is sort of the idea behind social media marketing.

_{*I’m not implying advertising is a dirty business. Even if it does pollute sometimes, it’s essential to building business. I’m implying you can just throw money at it and forget it, if you wish.}

Keyword and meta description tags

Keyword and description meta tags optimization tutorial for better search engine rankings. Have you ever wondered why some web pages get higher search engine rankings than others? Of course you have, if you are a web developer. You may have read or heard of a hundred ways to improve your page ranking and tried them all. Only to see dismal results and wonder what the heck went wrong.

Been there and done that. So I thought I would let you in on the secrets I use to get my pages to rank high in the search engines. Once you read these tricks you might think that is so obvious I should have thought of it.

Here are the 10 rules I use to search engine optimize a page for keywords and description meta tags.

1. First let’s assume that you already know what the page is about and have already created it. This is not a tutorial on how to write web pages. Rather guidelines for search engine optimization using your meta keywords and description tags.

Depending on the type of page you are creating determines how many keywords you should use. For instance a sales letter is typically 2000 or more words. In that type of page you need to describe all the advantages of your product and why it is the right solution. You will want to get testimonials and place them in appropiate places. You may even want to tell a story relating to how well the product has performed. Don’t over do the page or you will lose your prospect to boredom.

The product page (different from the sales letter) should be between 500 and 750 words. All you are trying to do here is sell a product. Visitors that make it to these pages probably already know what they are looking for and are only looking for specific information. Your job is to convince them that your product is the right one. Beyond that and there is more opportunity for your visitors to disagree with your pitch and move on.

The article page should be at least 1000 words and not more than 5000 words. Okay some might say that 5000 is too long and others have said that isn’t 1000 words aren’t enough words to describe what they have to say. Too long - some say that 500 words is good for an article page. So lets look at this: a person who can read 10 words a second will be through your page in 50 seconds. Not enough time for them to soak up your message. A person reading 3 words a second will take about 2-1/2 minutes. Plenty of time for your message to sink in.

The average reader can read somewhere around 6 words per second. Which would take them 83 seconds to read your 500 word article. Barely enough time to get your visitors comfortable. At 1000 words the avearge reader will read your page in roughly 3 minutes. At 6 words a second your reader needs around 3 minutes to read a 1000 word article. This plenty of time for the reader to make a decision to click on your most wanted response.

At over 2000 words the average reader will need 5-1/2 minutes to get through it. This is stretching the limit of time most visitors will spend reading one web page. At 5000 words the average reader takes over 13 minutes to read your page. This is well past the amount of time a visitor will need to decide to click on your most wanted response. If your article is really good most people will read all the way through it. If not they are off to the next website in a flash. If you have more than 2000 words you may want to consider breaking the article into 2 pages.

Okay, back to rule #1 use the right amount of words for a particular type of page. Not too many and not too few.

2. Primary meta keyword (the first one) must be an exact match with the file name of your page. This lets the search engines match up your keyword with your page and give your page higher relevancy. Here is an example from: Ocular Defense Formula (Pr2 and #2 in Google). The first keyword for this page is “Ocular Defense Formula.” This seemingly obsure product gets 33,000+ search engine results in Google alone. So it is not that obscure after all. And makes for a good example.

3. Use only 5 keywords in your meta keywords tag. More than that and the search engines might think you are keyword spamming and won’t list your page. The search engines rank your keywords in the order that they appear. This makes the first one the primary keyword and the second one a secondary keyword and so on. You should line your keywords up in the order of relevance to the page. Here is the meta keyword tag I used in this example.

“Ocular Defense Formula, Lutein, Bilberry, eye health, vision”

4. Use all of your keywords in your meta description, with the primary keyword as close to the front as possible. Definitely within the first 5 words of your description. The search engines don’t read your description verbatim, but can find and match them with your keyword list. So try to use them all but don’t repeat them if at all possible. Again if your meta description repeats your keywords too often the search engines might think you are keyword spamming and not list your page, so don’t do it.

5. Meta description should be between 100 and 200 characters. It is important to get a solid description of your page. Less that 100 characters and the search engine may not find it relevant enough to list. More than 200 characters and the search engines may truncate it. Which looks unprofessional on your part. Truncated meta descriptions may leave searchers with the impression that your content will be too wordy and full of you know what. Too short a description and your visitors may think there is not enough information on your page and move on to the next result. So try to get your description just right, not too long and not too short. Here is the meta description for ODF.

“Ocular Defense Formula with Lutein, Bilberry and herbs to support eye health and protect your vision from aging and oxidation. Learn how to improve your visual acuity.”

6. Line up your meta keywords up too resemble a sentence. Although search engines don’t read your keywords as a sentence verbatim, it should reflect well what your page is all about. See the meta keyword tag above.

7. Proof read your content twice. You should always proof read your work before you post for a lot of good reasons like spelling, grammar, placement and paragraph distribution. Once your page looks great proof read it again with your focus on keyword placement and repitition. You want your keywords placed in your content sparingly. What? you say. Again over use of your keywords might result in the search engines thinking you are keyword spamming. That isn’t to say you shouldn’t have too few. My rule of thumb is 3 uses of a keyword for every 300 words. This lets the search engines know that there is a lot of supporting content for the keyword.

As you are proof reading you may discover that you have a much better keyword for your meta tag than what you originally thought. For instance in ODF I discovered that I had left out the keyword “vision”. After proof reading my page I added that keyword to my list and used it a couple more times in the page.

8. Put your meta description all on one line in your html code. This will ensure that the search engines reads it all. I have noticed that some search engine results leave off the second line of a description. That may leave out some of your meta keywords if that happens.

9. Never use more than 3 words for your primary keyword (and file name). People rarely search for a keyword phrase over 3 words long. Too many words in a keyword phrase and the search engines may not find enough relevancy to list your page in the results. Two words in a keyword phrase (and file name) is ideal. For Ocular Defense Formula, I thought 2 words weren’t enough to describe the page. “Ocular Defense” would have been too vague and misleading. I could have named the page something else and optimized for those keywords, but, ODF is a product page and optimizing for something like “Eye Health” would have been misleading and probably not get listed high in the search engines.

10. Use your primary keyword in the first and last paragraph of your page. The search engines will give more relevancy to your page if they find your keywords at the beginning and the end of your page. Also your primary keyword should appear in the first 90 characters of your content.

Bonus tip - Use your primary keyword as a text link in your page only once. Not twice but definitely once. If you don’t want your visitors to leave your page make that link an “add to favorites” bookmark. On a product page this works great because you don’t want to give your visitors the opportunity to go else where.

In summary use these tips to increase your search engine rankings. Optimizing your keyword and descriptions should improve the relevancy of your page and boost your search engine rankings. Notice how I used my primary keyword and description meta tags in this last paragraph.

I know how traffic is. I live in Los Angeles, trust me, we know traffic…lol. Traffic. But today we will be discussing a new type of traffic. The traffic on the highways of the net. And we will be revealing 7 ways of generating free traffic to your site.

So, you think we have traffic in Los Angeles, well it is nothing compared to the traffic flowing through the internet highways of today. Within all this traffic are millions, even billions of potential buyers for your services and products.

To start, we are going to assume that you already have a site or blog where your products or services reside. And we are also going to assume that the traffic you have been getting is very little if any. Now it’s time to show you the ways of 7 exciting highways to direct that traffic to your site.

Now here is the problem with traffic. Lets say your selling parts for foreign cars, directing traffic looking for dinner or lunch recipes would be senseless, right. So we must not only direct traffic to your site, but we need a targeted traffic specific to your merchandise.

This process will take time, but the end result is genuine and will make your business more successful than you have ever seen.

To help you out in generating more traffic for your site, here are some seven surefire ways to increase your traffic starting from yesterday.

1) Investing in good advertising with big search engines:

This is one that I rarely mention as I am trying find the cheapest if not free way for my readers to accomplish their goals. But they say “It takes money to Make Money”. Google with it’s program called Adwords and Yahoo’s with it’s program called Overture provide excellent ways to advertise. These two companies (Being two of the Largest) have provided these services to help the beginner to the more advanced business or marketer create mega profits if done correctly. This way of traffic building will cost money for sure, but it will get you exact, pen-pointed traffic to your site of consumers (more likely than not) ready to purchase. Profits guaranteed if performed and executed correctly. With research, trial and a few errors, eventually you will succeed. There are lots of free tools at these sites and on the net to help you do your research.

2) Link Exchange or Trade

This is the old clitche “You scratch my back, I’ll scratch your”. Basically you will go to other websites that have similar products or services and ask if they would be willing to put your link on their site in trade with you putting thiers on your site. It is also good to go to free submission directory sites and give your link to them in a the closets matching category to your products or services. Some of the directories cost money but in some cases they will want you to put their link on your site, a reciprocal link is what it is called. Same story, although this could end up cluttering up your site a bit so you should build a section especially for them. I know I know…I should as well…lol.

3) Viral Marketing or Link baiting

I have talked about this a lot lately, probally because it is one of the best ways of FREE advertising I have ever used. Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company and product without any costs or if ever low costs only. Sometimes it will be sneaky and sometimes it’s just because of your great content I have told you repeatedly to create. You can upload a video, game or what ever to a site with certain keywords or keyword phrases embeded within the description. In some cases you can even leave a link back to your site, this is the sneaky way. The other way which is ethical is to create that great article, newsletter, Post a comment, useful or helpful information and watch it spread like a virus. People will love the information in the body of your text or writings so much they link it to their own site letting their readers know about you and where to find you. They will even send the word out to their close friends and family. Trust me, this works.

4) Proper keywords or keyword phrases within your sites content

This is a search engines wet dream. Using proper SEO content within your website. Not only does it bring targeted traffic to your site, it will also turn Google or any major search engine “ON”. Which in turn will qualify you for their special ranking upgrades. You will gain respect from these search engines because your following their rules and your properly advertising the way it should be with proper ethics.

5) Article Writing and submission

Articles are a great form of viral marketing and also creating back links to your site. EzineArticles.com is one of the most popular site to do this with. I also use GoArticles.com and RhinoArticle.com for my submissions. Great article writing will explode you into the world and at the same time Brand you as a authority in the filed your writing about. This does however require lots of good research. For it is good practice to know your products or services before ingaging in a article writing frenzy.

6) Forums, Social Networks, Video Sites and Social Bookmarking

Places like MySpace, FaceBook, Digg, Del.ico.us, YouTube, Mixx, Reddit, DigitalPoint Forums, SEOChat are places of interest to me. I use all of these places to market myself and my products and services. It also brands you and creates respect for you as a person. You also make good friends, great network buddies and meet Gurus in the industry with great information. Ethics, Ethics and more Ethics are recommended here. Paying Too Much on Adwords? Turn the Tables!

This article is not for everyone. If you have tons of cash to spend hiring an SEO Keyword Analyst, don?t waste your time here. This is a down-in-the-trenches guide to doing your own keyword research that will help revolutionize your AdWords or other pay-per-click campaigns. If you?d like to save a lot of money and don?t mind spending an hour or two, this is just what you need.

Ready to roll up your sleeves? Good!

Step 1: Grab a pad and pen and let?s get busy. Start by writing down exactly what your website is about. I know it sounds too simple but trust me ? the basics you find here make all the difference later!

Step 2: Now circle every word that you think people enter into search engines trying to find what your site offers.

Step 3: OK ? Now let?s use Google?s AdWords keyword tool to see what people are REALLY searching for. Go to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and type in one of your circled words. Does it come up? Is it singular or plural? Do you see any similar words above the one you typed in that will also work? If so, write them down. Also check out the ?Additional Keywords to Consider? section at the bottom of the page.

Step 4: Find out what Google thinks your keywords should be for any given web-page. Just click on the ?Site-Related Keywords? tab of that same Google AdWords web page and enter your URL. If the keywords you selected in step two are not at the top of the list, you should consider either changing your page text or redefining what your keywords should be.

Here?s a sanity check. Take that sheet of paper you started with and review what you wrote. This should be your ?baseline of vision.?

Step 5: Keep the AdWords tool open and also open a new browser window. Visit Google and enter any one of your keywords. When the results come up, check the number of matches found. This is your competition.

Step 6: Let?s go back to the AdWords tool. Try to find some good specific ?keyword phrases? ? Not just single keywords. Here?s what I mean… Let?s say you have a page that deals with flower delivery. Instead of ?flowers?, which has 233,000,000 competing pages on Google, try ?send flowers?, which has 1/10th the number of competing pages. Better yet, think like people speak (I.E./ I?m sending flowers to…) As it turns out, a lot more people are searching for ?sending flowers? than are searching ?send flowers? and there?s a lot less competition!

Recap: So what?s the final score? Seven times less competition with even more people searching? This is a HUGE advantage. I?d say we have a winner. You can ? and should ? do that for every keyword or phrase you plan to go after, especially if you ever pay-per-click.

If you decide to dig deeper and want to get in some good ?spying and ethical stealing? of your competition?s best keywords, search Google for keyword tools. There are a ton of them out there. Affiliate marketing is a way for the experienced, success hungry affiliate marketer who can expand on the profitability of their websites. Craigslist yet another way for both ecommerce website owners looking for affiliates to generate and create profits for them as well as affiliates who will be marketing and looking for new opportunities to market for another business. My article will give a short, detailed explanation of The World of Affiliate Marketing and will also show how Craigslist is important to the affiliate marketer and can be used to either find affiliates or affiliate opportunities.

So what exactly is Affiliate Marketing?

Well, Affiliate marketing basically is a marketing campaign a affiliate marketer creates to sell services or products that another company has and the affiliate marketer receives a commission based on per sale, per click, pay per lead or per performance. In most instances the Main Company will build the ads to place on your site whether it’s banners, text links or the actual ad. Then it is up to the affiliate marketer to build his or her site and promote these ads to generate their income.

Pay Per Click:
In a Pay per click campaign an affiliate marketer places a coded link or a widget of links on their website and each time a visitor clicks through to the link of the sponsor’s website, the affiliate receives a sum of money per click. The amount is usually between .07 cents to .50 cents.
Pay Per Sale:
This is like selling anything else in the world, for example, car sales. You will receive a commission per each product or service you sell. Your commission rate is generally told to you upfront before you decide to promote the product or service.
Pay Per Lead or Performance
You will receive monetary compensation per each lead sent to the the companies website you are promoting for. But the lead is also determined on a task the potential consumer must complete like a form of some sort. Per performance will be determined on how many leads you send them and your compensation/commission rate can increase depending on the amount of good leads sent in a certain time period. Usually on a per month or per weekly basis.

Craigslist – Companies seeking Affiliates:

There are Two ways that I have seen and been told by others having success gathering Affiliates for their products and services.
1. Get into the forums. These forums on Craigslist are pretty extensive in the categories, so pretty much any niche your promoting will be on this list. I have to tell you though, be very ethical in your approach. Get to know the forum first. Build your self within the forums before throwing your pitch and when you do pitch to people, just casually mention the opportunity available as if you were offering them some help. People really appreciate this. And absolutely no SPAMMING! Very dangerous.
2. Place small Ads. This part is a bit more tricky. From what I have seen and been told from friends in the industry. You must be careful here. A actual website (Not a opt-in or landing page) is generally better to post. Even a blog with good content will work. No upfront sales pitch but a link to your landing page is better. Links to more information is a good thing to do both in the forums and with small ads.

Craigslist – Affiliates seeking consumers:
1. Basically the same to rules above apply here as well. It’s better to get to know the people in the forums before introducing them to your products even if you think they will appreciate the fact that your trying to help them.
2. I would also recommend placing small ads in the Services Section and the Resume Sections of Craiglist.

In regard to making money on the Internet, everyone is always

looking for the quick fix. They want to sign up for a program,

place an advertisement, and make hundreds or thousands of dollars

instantly. While this may be possible depending on your

circumstances, the most direct and guaranteed path to success on

the Internet is to stick with the fundamentals

A friend of mine who is an athletic coach for kids in the city

where I live reminded me of this lesson. This guy is actually so

passionate about kids and athletics that he coaches 4 different

sports: basketball, soccer, baseball and football. Of course, he

has a kid of his own on each team. But what is remarkable about

this guy is the results he gets with his teams.

He was recruited to coach the 8th grade football team where his

children go to school. After 27 years of losing seasons in a row,

the first year my friend became the head coach the team won the

district championship and repeated their championship run the

following year. This past weekend he coached 12 different games

and won all 12 of them. As you can tell, this guy is extremely

dedicated.

But the funny thing is that he and the kids he coaches are not

totally hung up on winning. If they lose a game, they feel

equally good about themselves as they would if they had won. What

matters most to them is how well they played and lived up to

their potential as a team.

The real question is how my friend's teams continually perform

on such a high level and beat nearly anyone they play even though

they are often smaller and younger than their competitors. I

asked this question to my friend the other day and he told me

that it's all in the fundamentals.

In his practices, all he works on with his kids is keeping a

positive mindset and practicing the fundamentals. He told me that

his teams never scrimmage or strategize about upcoming games

during practice. They simply work hard on all the fundamentals of

whatever particular sport they are playing and do so more than

any other team they play. This constant practice and improvement

of the fundamentals is what allows his teams to progress faster

than his competitors. While most other teams get caught up with

how to win, out-strategize, be stronger than and intimidate their

opponents, my friend's team is just so good at the basics that

they blow everyone out of the water when game day arrives.

This got me thinking about my own Internet business and why I've

been able to succeed on such a high level while most others who

have tried to do what I do have failed. The answer is not really

surprising.

Most people who try to build a successful Internet home business

are looking for the quick fix. They want it to work IMMEDIATELY

and so they usually fall prey to business opportunities that

promise to help them get rich overnight and advertising scams

that promise to deliver thousands of hungry prospects to their

website in the next 24 hours. Of course, these opportunistic

schemes are really just geared to steal people's hard earned

money. You see, when someone is desperate and looking for an

INSTANT solution, they will often be taken advantage of and their

chances for success with an Internet home business are slim to

none.

However, while there are thousands of business opportunities on

the Internet and millions of different ways to advertise and

promote your website, I personally practice the fundamentals in

my Internet home business. I do this by sticking with the

business opportunities I've joined for the long haul and

promoting my website consistently with simple, affordable and

easily maintained Internet marketing techniques.

In fact, one of the techniques that works best for me is writing

articles like this one and getting them published on other

people's websites using article syndication tools and software

found online.

By writing articles and getting them published on other websites

online using powerful tools like those mentioned above, I'm able

to get my name and website address in front of thousands of

people without paying a dime in advertising. Of course, the key

to this strategy is that I write and distribute articles

consistently in this way. It's one of those "fundamentals"

that doesn't cost anything but a little time and effort. Fact

is, it's this price of time and effort that most people are

unwilling to pay. They'll gladly part with hundreds or even

thousands of dollars, but ask them to do a little hard work and

they say "No way."

It's this understanding that can separate you from the pack. If

you are willing to practice the fundamentals of your business

faithfully and consistently, you will be destined to succeed on a

high level. But if you can't and you're only looking for the

quick fix, you have already lost the game before you even set

foot on the field.

Even pros like me practice the fundamentals every day. In fact,

especially pros like me practice the fundamentals. The moment I

stop practicing the fundamentals is the moment I stop being a

pro. Think about this carefully and then renew YOUR commitment to

the fundamentals of your Internet home business today. Do this

and you will soar past your competition.

Keeping a tight focus and doing a bit of research ti help improve your rankings can be an excellent way to boost your profits. We will discuss monetization in more details in future lessons.

Whether you are selling your own product, working as an affiliate, or using contextual ads such as Adsense to generate your income a bit of research is necessary.

There are various tools available. For a free option you can try the Adwords Keyword Tool. This will show you similar keywords for your topic and how competitive they are.

This can give you some food for similar topics to create your posts around.

Now this gives you an idea but if you really want to find out where the profitable keywords are there are two paid services that will give you a lot more detail and a better idea of the best sub topics to monetize your blog.

Monetization models for your blog

You can use a blog in a variety of ways. Which one is best for you will depend on where your business is and what you want to do with it.

Now if you already have a product a blog can be an excellent pre-sell tool for that product and or products. The first thinmg you can use it for is to build your credibility in the marketplace. I do this with a particular blog (www.wptutorial.com/blog) that only answers questions people have on blogging and WordPress in particular. It doesn’t sell specific products (although there are side bar links to them). It is done purely to establish expertise in that area. This can be extremely powerful.

Now if you are an affiliate you can use a blog in a few different ways.

1. Pre-sell through writing reviews.
If you decide to do this there are a couple caveats to observe. Give an honest opinion and quite often if you list the pluses and MINUSES you will have much more credibility. (More on this in a future lesson on headlines).

2. Use a blog in place of email delivery.
This can be quite effective and is even more powerful if you ad content articles amongst your presell pitches. Use your email list to just send people to your blog with a short teaser. This will improve your email deliverability and others can actually choose to receive your pitches through your feed.

3. Use content articles to pre-sell.
This works great for niches. For an example you write about fishing. It is something you like and easy for you to add content. When you are talking about your latest trip link to the lure that was working for you, the rod you use, the reel, etc. Whatever fits in with the content. You can find almost any product you use regularly available trhough an affiliate program online.

This gives you an idea of how you can structure your blog. Our next lesson will discuss finding affiliate products.

Remember, if you have done your keyword research to find topics that people are interested in and give those people quality information on that topic they will be very happy to check out your recommendations if they are part of your content.

Hello everyone,

This is the follow up of my Article called “Back to Basics”. Now your site is up and running. You have good traffic to your site and your Opt-In list is building very nicely, but getting a little big for you to keep up with. Good for you, but now it’s time for those special tools that all “Affiliate Marketers” need. The tools that will keep your business alive for a very long time. These would be a “Auto Responder”, “Leads Blaster” and a “Multi-Ad Tracker”.

Definitions:

Auto Responder - A program that responds to an e-mail or other inquiry without human intervention. For example, if an e-mail address is no longer valid, an auto-responder in the mail server sends an “undeliverable message” automatically to the sender. If the recipient has a new e-mail address or is on vacation, an auto-responder can be set up to reply with an appropriate message.

Leads Blaster - An excellent new recruiting tool for marketing if you have a list of people that you’d like introduce to your business..

Multi-Ad Tracker - A way to identify where your subscribers are opting-in based on a tracking code you give each site or advertising campaign.

Give-Aways – Some kind of offer that encourages the consumer to either click through or Opt-In with their information. Usually a FREE eBook, Program or Newsletter.

The last of these four items is optional but wouldn’t you (As a consumer or even now) opt-in with your name and email address to receive something for FREE, I do all the time.

A Auto Responder is how you keep in touch with all your clients, purchasers, potential consumers and regular readers. It is also a way to keep track of everyone in your email list or lists, and be ready when it’s time to promote a NEW product or service in the near future.

Leads Blaster can be used as a recruiting tool to recruit people into a program that has a residual income or for helping you to promote your business.

And then the most important of them all is your Multi-Ad Tracker. I can’t tell you how important it is to track your ads you have out in the World of Affiliate Marketing. In some cases you may at one time decide to purchase advertising, and lets say that each ad cost you $10 dollars a month. Without tracking your ads, you will never know where your traffic is coming from. For example: you buy 5 ads at $10 each, over the course of a month you receive 15 sales that come from 2 of the 5 ads. A Multi-Ad Tracker will tell you which ads are getting you the conversions thus saving you $30 a month to either keep in your pocket or invest in other ad spots to get more conversions. Sounds great, right. And thats basically how it works.

Today I am going to talk about tools that all Affiliate Marketers need to use in order to build their business to success. In the World of Affiliate Marketing there are several tools to use and there are many ways to use them to your benefit, but I am going to talk about the basics. Yes, we going back to basics because you have to build your foundation. Building a business is like building your home. You need to build that foundation strong or the structure of your home you build on top of this foundation will crumble beneath you through time.

So building the foundation is what we will be talking about today.

In a perfect world, there are no hurdles to jump over or no block walls to go around. Unfortunately, this World of Affiliate Marketing is far from perfect, but it can be structured right in order to create a almost perfect world with minor twiks and modifications to come in the future. Building your foundation is vital to a long term life for your business, right. So in oder to do this it’s “BACK to BASICS” we go.

First and foremost . You need to find that perfect product or service (Niche) to promote. This will determine the business your going to build. This will also help you with the name of your company, what you need to promote the product or service and what type of content will go on your site. It will also help you know whether you need to create a Blog, landing page, website or all 3. I suggest all 3 as it will drive a lot more traffic to your site where your promoting your product or service. A Squeeze Page or Opt-In page will be necessary as well. And knowing your product or service will also help you in your keyword research which will be necessary to build the content of your page..

Definitions:

Website - A website, or Web site, is not the same thing as a Web page. Though the two terms are often used interchangeably, they should not be. So what’s the difference? To put it simply, a Web site is a collection of Web pages. For example, Amazon.com is a Web site, but there are millions of Web pages that make up the site. Knowing the difference between these two terms can save you a lot of embarrassment.

Blog - A blog is often a mixture of what is happening in a person’s life and what is happening on the Web, a kind of hybrid diary/guide site, although there are as many unique types of blogs as there are people.

Landing Page - The web page a user reaches when clicking on a search engine result. In SEM, marketers attempt to improve conversion rates by matching the landing page as closely as possible to the user’s query. For example, if a user searches for “red shoes,” the landing page may be a specific product page displaying a pair of red shoes or a page displaying all red shoes offered by the company.

Squeeze Page or Opt-In Page - In Internet and online advertising vernacular, a squeeze page is a Web page that contains information that would interest the marketer’s targeted readers. Squeeze pages are designed to obtain a reader’s name and e-mail address information by encouraging users to opt-in to an e-mail list to receive more information about the topic. Marketers will collect the permission-based e-mail and information to follow up at a later date. Currently, there is still some debate over the actual definition of a squeeze page. Some consider landing pages that offer additional hyperlinks to information as well as e-mail opt-in list sign-up to be a squeeze page, while others in the industry believe only those pages containing just an e-mail sign-up are considered a squeeze page.

OK, let’s assume that you have successfully accomplished all your foundation building (Website, Blog, Landing Page, Keyword Research, Squeeze Page or Opt-In Page) of your site. Your Email list you have been building is the most important of these because keeping in close contact with your potential consumers gives your business a personal touch one, and a way to potentially promote 100’s or even thousands more products to your list. As your list builds, so does your business for future promotions. But where did all these people come from. Lets talk about traffic to your site.

Traffic: Definitions:

Search Engine Submissions - The act of supplying a URL to a search engine in an attempt to make a search engine aware of a site or page.

Article Writing - A complete piece of writing, as a report or essay, that is part of a newspaper, magazine, or book, in your case to help promote niche.

Social Networks or Forums - An association of people drawn together by family, work or hobby. The term was first coined by professor J. A. Barnes in the 1950s, who defined the size of a social network as a group of about 100 to 150 people. On the Web, social networking sites have millions of members as do Forums.

Social Bookmarking - Social bookmarks are a relatively new phenomenon on the Web. The concept behind this new trend is rather simple which is often the case with good ideas.
The general idea behind social bookmarks is that rather than saving a bookmark for a web page in a browser such as Internet Explorer or Firefox, users instead save the bookmark to a publicly accessible web site. Other people can then see your bookmark and ideally be exposed to something that you wouldn’t otherwise encounter.

Link Baiting - Link bait (or linkbait) refers to anything on a website that encourages links from other websites. It can include content, online tools, downloads, or anything else that another site owner might find compelling enough to link to. Link bait is important because most search engines use backlinks as a major factor in determining ranking.

So these are the basics of a online business. If you were to Google all these definitions you would find lots of ways to figure out your niche you want to promote, build your site thats SEO ready and promote it the way it should be promoted. A Day In The Life Of An Affiliate Marketer

It's not that difficult to become an Affiliate Marketer these days. With the Internet available 24/7 to you research has become a breeze for almost anything you deice to promote. Could you imagine being an affiliate marketer in the 60's and 70's having to use a phone or TV commercials. I mean, the phone keeps it personal and it's a good thing. TV allows you to be flashy and grab the attention of your audience. But being on the phone for everyone you decide to talk to. WoW! I can't imagine that.

So with all this technology at your grasp. I am going to describe “A day in a Affiliate Marketers World”

But let's do two versions to make it more interesting, OK:

First Scenario: “The Veteran Marketer: A success Story”

You wake up in the morning, get your coffee or tea, have some breakfast after pushing the start button on your computer and sit down to begin your day of work. First you check your sales for the day and smile. You head over to clickbank to see whats new and if will fit in your schedule. You build a few campaigns and do your magic to begin the promotion sequence. Having been successful for awhile you know how to setup your programs with ease. Then off to writing a few articles on the new products. Submission to ezine, goarticles and then one for your new site. Stumbit, technaroti, digg it, squido, mahalo, del.icio.us and diigo have been done. A possible ad on google product search. Some back links from myspace, facebook and Hi5. Then post your articles to your site for the next week using your scheduler in wordpress or blogger.

Now for the hard part. Sit back or go shopping while your ads make you money. This is the affiliate marketers dream. To find that technique, that program or that strategy that works 100% of the time. Unfortunately, it is few and far between and it takes a lot more work than this.

Second Scenario: “The Average Affiliate Marketer: A work in progress”

1. Everything from above +++++
2. Working and Reworking your site design. As a marketer you know that a well designed site will increase your sign ups, increase your conversion rate and build your business into a money making system.
3. Place your products into your site and add your links to them either with a redirect or opt-in with a redirect. In some cases You may want to cloak your url but it's not recommended or necessary because there is always something you can do to make it work.
4. Getting your host and setting up putting your site design into it.
5. Next, keyword research and implementation. Inputting keywords into your text body and site title making it search engine friendly. Which will also increase your page rank.
6. Next, write something about yourself or company (if needed for your niche) making sure to be professional. At this point I would spell check everything in case you haven't along the way. Very important to spell check.
7. Your site is now built. Time for advertising or promoting and creating back links. Submitting your affiliate campaigns sites to sites that will increase your traffic is great but not quite enough. Creating mega back links is much more work than just submitting to directories. A list of a few are in the beginning of this article e.g. There are lots of resources to sort out. Ads, banners, button ads and sample recommendations to give out because the marketer knows that this is one way of ensuring more sales. Best to stay visible and accessible too.
8. Article writing. A must to increase traffic to your site. Article submission. Blogs. All aimed at your site with a link.
9. Setup a special email for each niche or for your online store. Setup an auto responder with a thank you respond or a reply respond to answer questions at a later time about your products. Answering emails is very important. You don't want to leave your customers or readers hanging. To show that you, the affiliate, are doing your job effectively and efficiently, inquiries would have to be paid more attention to. Keeps the professionalism going.
10. Keeping track of your traffic and sales are very important. An accurate tracking system will let you know where your refferals are coming from, the conversion rate and which products are doing well.
11. While all this is going on, the affiliate should be surfing forums or chat rooms talking to people to see if their niche is suitable for the people here. Also hit the affiliate sites like forum - digitalpoint or forum – eWealth to learn about new strategies and techniques.
There are things to be learned and it is a continuous process. Sharing tips and advices is a good way of showing support. There may be others out there wanting to join and may be enticed by the discussion that is going on. There is no harm in assuming what opportunities ahead.
12. The newsletters for your consumers are great after you establish a email list. Time to check the news to see if there are any new articles or writeups about your niche or topic so you can write about it and submit some more articles.
13. Testimonials on your page are great and it also make your customers feel appreciated to see their name up on your site and they may increase your sales by mentioning you to friends and colleagues or even putting a link to your site on theirs.
14. Also publish this testimonials in your newsletter you send out.
15. Make comments on your customers pages or others pages to create a relationship with them and build a good Rapport with them.
16. Time to go to bed, you have been at this for 12+ hours and you missed lunch and dinner...lol...not really but it is a long day for awhile. Wake up tomorrow and repeat it all again. And then eventually your business will start working for you and you will be able to have the first scenario .

I am going to go down the list and talk about each software, what's it's purpose and how it will help you in your business. So lets begin: ● Article Spinner by Chris Smith – This software is basically a program that will create articles from your writings. It works in the programs Microsoft Word Excel or Open Office Spread Sheet.

How it works?
1. You write a series of sentences or paragraphs into a spread sheet.
2. For each sentences you will write 3 different sentences or paragraphs one below each other on your spread sheet.
3. You will do this through a series of different entities like Intro, Benefits, Requirements, Alternatives and Outro or Finish.
4. In total there are about 20 different sections in this spread sheet and you will write three different lines for each section.
5. You can set it up for more but I wouldn't recommend more than four, overkill I think.
6. Hit F9 and watch the spinner change the paragraph right before your eyes using your different lines of text from each section.

Improve your Search Engine Position with Sitemaps

A sitemap is a little-known secret to enhancing your Web site’s position in the search engine listings. No, it’s not a killer secret that will draw in thousands of new visitors overnight, but it is an important addition to your toolset, and not hard to implement. This article will tell you why you need a sitemap, and how to create one and submit it to the search engines.

The term “sitemap” can refer to two different things. Many large, complex Web sites provide a visual sitemap that visitors can use for quick navigation, if they already know roughly where they want to go. If your site is large or complex, you should provide one of these sitemaps for your visitors.

But this article is about the other kind of sitemap: The kind that is made for the search engines, like Google, to use in indexing your site. There are several forms that these sitemaps can take, but we’ll get to that a little later.

First of all, let’s consider why you even need a sitemap. Google and the other search engines will index your site even if you don’t have a sitemap. However, there are four main advantages to having a sitemap:

1. If your site uses non-HTML links, such as Macromedia Flash menus or JavaScript menus, the search engines will not be able to follow these links, and so they will not find all of your pages. A code-driven site must use a sitemap.

2. A sitemap tells the search engines which pages on your site are more important, and which are less important. This prevents the less important pages from competing with your own pages in the listings.

3. A sitemap tells the search engines which pages on your site are updated more frequently than others. This enables the search engines to ignore your static pages, increasing the likelihood that they will have the most current data on your most dynamic pages.

4. A sitemap enables you to tell the search engines when you have added or updated your site’s content. To some extent, this puts you in control of making the search engines aware of your latest content. Of course, it doesn’t force the search engines to do your bidding, but it tends to make it easier for users to find your new pages more quickly.

So, what is a sitemap?

As mentioned above, there are many possible forms of sitemaps, but we’ll concentrate on the most useful kind, the XML sitemap format created and promulgated by sitemaps.org. This protocol, currently known as “Sitemap 0.90,” is maintained and endorsed jointly by Google, MSN, Yahoo, and Ask, so you know it is pretty much a universal standard.

An XML sitemap consists of a list of pages on your Web site, and standard information about each page. Here is an example:

We’ll talk about tools that will create this for you in a moment.There are three things to notice about each entry:1. LastMod. Tell the search engines the last date (and time) you changed this page. That will tell them which ones they ought to index right away, and which ones they can ignore.2. ChangeFreq. In case you’re not updating your sitemap all the time, this will give the search engines a clue as to how often they ought to check each page.

3. Priority. This tells the search engines the relative importance of this page, compared to all the other pages in your site.

In assigning a value for “Priority,” on a scale of 0.0 to 1.0, determine which pages are most important and which are least important within your site. We’re not telling the search engines that this “Services” page is in the 80th percentile of all pages on the Web, but it is far more important than the “Index” page within this site. That’s where we want our visitors to end up.

It’s easy to identify pages within your site which are lowest priority. Some examples:

- Privacy Policy - “Contact us” - “About us”

Please don’t misunderstand this. It’s not that your “Privacy Policy” page is unimportant and so you might as well not have one. It’s that your “Privacy Policy” is important enough to take for granted: Your visitors will find it when they need it. But for search engine purposes, you’d rather direct them to the pages where you actually do your business.

So, how do you create a sitemap?

There are a number of software tools that will create a sitemap by reading your site’s content. You will have to adjust the results, especially the “Priority” settings, but most of these do a pretty good job. Search the Web for “sitemap generator,” or for any of the following specific free tools:

And once you have your sitemap, what do you do with it?

There are three things to do, in sequence:

1. Place the sitemap file into the root directory of your Web server, alongside your main “index” file. And each time you update it, place the new copy there.

2. Notify the major search engines of your new sitemap file each time you update it. For Google, this means to submit it from within “Webmaster Tools.” For other major search engines, search on that search engine for “submit sitemap,” and you’ll probably find where to enter the URL of your sitemap file.

3. Place a reference to the sitemap file in your robots.txt file, as “Sitemap: http://www.freelancesubmit.com/sitemap.xml”. This will make sure that any search engine will find it, even those that you did not submit it to directly. You only need to do this once, unless you change the name or location of your sitemap file.

Once you have your sitemap created and submitted, don’t forget to maintain it. Each time you add a page to your Web site, add it to your sitemap. Each time you update a page on your Web site, update its “lastmod” setting in your sitemap. Try adjusting the “priority” of your pages from time to time to see if it improves the performance of that particular page. And each time you modify your sitemap, resubmit it to the major search engines.

A absolute must use to compete in the world of business on or off the net. With all the rivalry and dog eat dog tactics going on one needs advantages like this.

It doesn’t matter how well your product or service works, helps or is promoted, not using this technique will make or break your sales.

We all know that there are several types of promotion techniques to get page rank, web traffic and readers or viewers to a site but one of the most effective is Viral Marketing or Link baiting.

The term used “Viral” used here is not a scary virus (That is dreaded by most computer users) you use to push or promote your site, in reality it means the spreading of information that you put out into the net e.g. Articles, Post or Comments with information about your business, product or service.

Viral Marketing is also known as Viral Advertising or Link Baiting. It is a marketing technique used to project public awareness of your product, service or business. A few of the forms of media used to do this is Articles, video blogs, comments or post to blogs. Depending on the type you use, if the content and message laid out within these formats is exceptional, then it will create a swarm of other website, blog or video sites and owners to embed or place it on their site, thus creating a viral spread of your particular content. Spreading like a virus all over the net or world.

In other words, companies like yours believe that if people (Consumers or otherwise) like the content of a media they will pass it on to their friends and family. People love to sponsor (Without knowing) a certain product they enjoy like: Video Games or Movies or whatever it may be. And they work hard at sharing this with hundreds of thousands of friends and family members.

Viral marketing has become one of the best and least expensive forms of advertisement because it depends on regular people to spread the advertisement for them. And because the ads are being spread by thousands of people not just one it keeps the ad from being tagged as spam, nice right.

Viral marketing for your company and is Viral Marketing for Affiliate Marketing are basically the same thing.

Getting affiliates to sell and promote your products for you is Viral Marketing at it’s best and the company that has created the product offers bonuses or incentives to the affiliate marketers to get them excited about promoting it like commissions and free products.

But viral marketing for your affiliate site is like I described earlier, creating articles and post and comments create the traffic you need and bring it to your site to increase your income and sales.

As a company:

Create an Affiliate program for marketers to earn from promoting your products or services.
Go to some Affiliate sites like AffiliateRanker, Commission Junction, Clickbank, or PayDotCom which have lots and lots of marketers just waiting and looking to promote products.
Offer great incentives or commisions to your marketers for they will be doing a lot of work to make sales for you. The better the incentives the more people will want to promote your product or service.

For Affiliate Marketers:

Build an attractive website or blog where you will advertise the products your promoting.
Place these products as direct links or within a article or post you have placed on your site.
Write articles (Without Affiliate Links) and submit them to free content article sites. I say without Affiliate links because a lot of sites don’t allow this. You will place a link back to your website in your Article Resource Box.
Use social networks to help like MySpace or FaceBook to promote. Place a link to your site in a blog. This is a project that takes time, you must build up a friends list first. But a very successful way of doing this fast is to join groups, build a relationship for a few months and then hit them with your pitch ethically.
Go to places like Digital Point forums and other forums and make comments or new threads and build a relationship there. Eventually you will be able to place a link back to your site as well.

All of these techniques will depend on how well your articles are written, your videos are made and your comments and post or new topics (Threads) are read and excepted.

Hey everyone. First I would like to say thank you to all my readers and visitors. We will all come together and make it happen for all of us in the long run, again thank you for all your support. OK, now on to the subject for today.Let’s talk about “Link Baiting” and what it is exactly.

Link baiting is, in simple terms, having a article or blog post worthy of being posted on another website by the owner of that website. As this happens, your link gets spread around from site to site and the readers of that site get a closer look at you and have found respect and trust in you because someone they trust have added you to their site. This is considered “Viral” marketing. It works well in forums or places where discussions are taking place about different topics or subjects. Link Baiting is sort of like “Fishing” (And I mean at the lake, not phishing peoples info). There are what we consider several different types of “Hooks” or “Lures” that make link baiting possible. This kind of marketing is also good to promote any product or niche you have a campaign on as well as Brand yourself along with it. This will eventually have a good or even great impact on your affiliate marketing business. So let me explain each one in detail: The Hooks:

The first “Hook” is called the “News Hook”:
If you read an article or news bulletin and do your research about that article and can disprove it ethically with facts and being respectful in doing so, then you can become an Authority Figure on the subject, thus, gaining trust and respect of your readers. Also I need to mention another form of “News Hook”. If you were to find an article or several that relate to your niche, make sure they are interesting and catch the attention of your readers and be the first to link to them, this also is a way to brand yourself and promote your niche, your affiliate marketing business.

The second “Hook” is called ‘Resource Hook”
This “Hook” is an exceptional one. The “Resource Hook” is a helpful article, post or resource that you, yourself write or give freely that helps your readers along in their life, whether it’s a recommended program, free software or tools or a list of other resources you have gathered yourself. As long as it is useful and helpful to your readers and possible consumers, and you give it freely, this will instantly boost your credibility and reputation amongst them. And you feel good to be able to help out others. And you will receive links back to your article and your site. Like I always say, “Giving is generosity that all people should practice”.

The third ‘Hook” is called “Humor Hook”
This hook is strictly for a niche or product you may have a campaign on. Lets say through your searching or reasearching you were to come across something extremely funny that relates to your niche. Like a picture, video or even an article. Posting this up on your site could gain you popularity because they say “Laughter is the healer of the Soul”, right. So now you post it up on your site and people are happy to see that not only are you a serious business person but you also have a sense of humor and they get a kick out of it enough to link back to you and your humorous post. This is where showing your personality builds your character.

The fourth “Hook” is called “Excited or Belief Hook”
If you find something that really gets you excited, makes you feel happy or changes your life. This is a hook that is easy to promote because you believe in the product. This is my favorite “Hook” because you feel good about what you are promoting. And if you feel good it will translate into your writings, trust me. Not just that but you can talk or write about it with conviction. It is the ultimate high feeling so good about something and being able to share it with your friends, readers and everyone. Knowing that you will help people is the ultimate reward. This will get your readers excited and you will again instantly gain respect, authority, trust and build your character as a person fast.

The fifth “Hook” is called “Comment Hook”
I like this one a lot as well as number 4. This “Hook” is a BIG respect hook to the author you post a comment to, which will get you your respect back. Thay say “To Get Respect you have to Earn it”, right. Well this is the way to earn it. Now don’t go spamming blogs, post or articles just to gain popularity. There is a ethical way to do this. If they have written about a niche or subject that relates to yours and it is a good article, then kool, go ahead and leave a comment telling them why you liked their article. You can, in some cases leave a link to an article that you have written or a way to get in contact with you. But spamming your information is not a good idea. What this will do for you is gain the respect of the people and the site for which you left your comment and most likely gain their interest and the interest of their readers as well. Pretty soon you may have your links on their website posted by them. Ahhhhh, the Ethics of online marketing and affiliate marketing. Feels good, doesn’t it.

These are the five I recommend. There are two others that I don’t recommend and if you use them, us them with extreme caution.

The sixth “Hook” is called “Attacking Hook”
This “Hook” can be dangerous and hurt you along the way. This is where you accuse or try to discredit an article or post about a niche or certain subject. When doing so you tell your readers and theirs that this article or post is basically a lie and/or a scam which could cause hard feelings between you and the author of that post. If you choose to go this route, I HIGHLY recommend that you do thorough research on the subject and make sure that what you say can be justified not just by you but others. Also you may create a mob of angry bloggers that could link back to negative posts.

And the seventh “Hook” is called “Contrary Hook”
I know that all of you have heard the term “According to Contrary Belief”. In other words, what many other people may believe and have written about but are not necessarily true or with holding certain information that can be critical or misleading to the readers. Well this is a form of that but through article and post writings. This is where you become very controversial in your article or post about someone else’s article or post. Either trying to disapprove it, disagree with it or simply saying they left out to much information as if to have their readers walking around with blinders on to hide what is lurking within the walls. Again, this is also a dangerous tactic and could hurt you. They say that “Honesty is the Best policy” but they also say “Good guys/girls finish last”. Get my point. I personally don’t believe that “Good guys/girls finish last” but be cautious. Controversy can also cause hard feelings. If you choose this route again, “DO YOUR RESEARCH”.

Link baiting is one of the most successful ways to promote yourself, your niche and gain trust, respect and authority amongst all people. It will benefit your online business and boost your affiliate marketing sales 300% and more. So remember that ethics, respect and research are all KEY factors in “Link Baiting” and that it is possible to hurt yourself as well as promote yourself with this type of marketing.
